It is Day One - thanks to the University of Illinois Extension and their Embryology program.
We have two dozen fertilized eggs and in less than a month - with the help of an incubator - we hope to have baby chicks!
This program is for our Urban Ag class but also to have students learn how to build a coop, care for chickens and see how chickens play a part in our food forest permaculture ecosystem.
