Marking our piers for the arrival of our new container

Measuring the area for the piers we will use to place our shipping container was a process. We measured first with our tape measure,

Then we staked out our measurements and checked in with our architect who helped us with our geometry to make sure it was square.

Next we had our friends from the telephone company use their survey skills and tools to make sure we were square.

We checked our measurements a few more times as  the holes were being dug.
The guys worked for a few days to dig the holes by hand!
We ran into some concrete along the way..

Once the holes were dug and the tubes in place, we used a laser level to mark each post so they would all be the same height.
