Thanks to an ICJIA grant (Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority) managed by UCAN and purposed with neighborhood violence prevention efforts, CCA now has a shipping container that has been modified for use during workshops, volunteer days and outdoor events. The container will sit on concrete piers - a sustainable way of installing the container without changing the land or covering it with a concrete pad. Look for an update in October when the container gets its final move onto the piers.
