| Friday October 18th students met with David Brown at CCA to complete their last design workshop for The Available City Project |
Students discussed and explored various ideas for re-activating the many vacant city lots in North Lawndale
Again students had the opportunity to partner with senior architecture students from UIC.
We also had visitors from the Chicago Architecture Biennial
Community member Anna Maria Leon joined the workshop to discuss the 2nd Available City site - the MLK Garden.
From simple materials students were able to envision their ideas for creating unique spaces in their community.
Our day ended with everyone discussing their final presentations and sharing their thoughts on the workshop activities.
