Woodshop class 3-14-19 at Greater West Town Community Development Project.

Odile Compagnon, the designer of the "Good City" bench, visited our woodworking class to give students some history on the design of the bench.
Students learned about how Odile merged elements of two designs, the Leopold bench and the Adirondack chair, to come up with the good city design - a bench that can flip into two different types of seating. In this photo students discuss the Jefferson library ladder chair - a chair that can also be a ladder.
Trying out the bench - an original made several years ago.

Wood shop lesson for the day - how to use a table saw with a commercial size sliding arm fence!
