PermaPark and the EPIC Sustainability Challenge
The EPIC Sustainability Challenge is a project of Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Civic ArtWorks and Illinois Green Alliance.
The Challenge asks high school students to find solutions to community issues through sustainable methods and strategies that promote education and awareness on the issue of climate change. The solutions will be posted at yourmunicipal.com - a platform where individuals can share projects and ideas to better their communities. The public can search their neighborhoods, start a campaign, vote and comment on these projects in an attempt to turn the best of the best into realities.
Rhianne Menzies is our local mentor. She creates sustainable solutions for corporations looking to reduce their carbon footprint.

CCA students are starting with our food forest and combining its design with the needs of our community.
The projects they will present highlight practical aspects of our park design, fill a need in our community and educate everyone on sustainable solutions that address the key causes of climate change.
